JM FAQ
Are you complaining about your job?
No. I love my work, and in general I love my job. I never have and never will criticize anyone I currently work with, or the company I currently work for, in a public forum of any kind. I don't even write specifically about competitors. My observations about businesses and industries are meant to be taken in a general sense, and are intended to point out shortcomings and systemic malfunctions in a "court fool" sort of way. Truly, I hope that industry people read my comical rantings and find a new and valuable perspective; if not that, I hope they at least get a good chuckle out of the experience.
Besides, I think the people I work for are pretty good -- that's why I work for them.
Are you writing about me?
No.
Really? Because I'm pretty sure that one sentence in that one post referred to...
NO, really, I'm not writing about you. Seriously. I write about me on this site. I do not air other people's dirty laundry here or anywhere else in public.
Something you wrote offended me, and I want to yell at you.
You know what offends me? People who are offended by things. Nothing happens in the world due to your state of offendedness. It's not like you now lose one year of your life because someone offended your sensibilities. Stop being such a delicate fucking flower.
I'm cyber-stalking you because I can't stop thinking about you even though you told me never to contact you again. Do you still think about me?
Almost certainly, yes. That doesn't mean I want to hear from you.
But I've changed!
No you haven't. I think this sums up my attitude toward that.
Can I reprint one of your articles?
Only with my written permission. Don't try to get away with reprinting without permission; I will probably catch you, and I will have your service provider remove the article and possibly shut down your site. I've done it several times before. Odds are, it's not going to end well for you if you try to get away with this. Why not just ask me first, or better yet, write your own article and cite mine as a source.
What happened to The Jem Report?
I sold it, along with Hardware in Review, Software in Review, and TJRForum back in 2008.
